Paul writes in Ephesians, "Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church." (4:14-15 NLT)
As followers of Christ, we are to be growing spiritually. We are to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18).
We grow by developing our relationship with Christ through the reading of His Word (the Bible), prayer and fellowship with other believers. We want to help others grow in their knowledge of God, knowledge of His Word and knowledge of the grace of Jesus Christ.
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." (Ephesians 3:14-21)
